1st Family Camping Trip

We went on our first family camping trip last weekend at the Lake George Escape Campground. We had a great time it is a very family orientated facility and I highly recommend it to anyone.

We "rough it" in a tent. It only had two small leaks when it rained.

Our site was right on the Schroon River.

Kids, as seen through a screen.

Scary faces at the campfire(although Ry just looks scared)

Silly faces at the campfire

Happy faces at the campfire

The beach...the water was freezing

We rented an electric boat.

Our site from the river.

There are smiles on their faces but they were definetly bored. The boat was a little on the slow side.

I hope Cole's face doesn't get stuck like this.

They had a wild life show.

Ryleigh really gets into her food.

Bouncy Bounce time

The one of the pools was great, it was only 36" deep so Cole could go in with out floaties.

Ry's legs weren't strong enough for her own bike, so she rode on back with Mike

Cole thought he was so cool because his front tire was off the ground.

Fishing right at our site

Being silly at the playground

His teacher made him cross out drink and put eat, then he had to cross out beer and put food. I can only imagine what his teacher thinks.

Labor Day Curse

It seems we have inherited a Labor Day Curse from some where. Last year we were in Ilion, headed to Sacandaga Lake for Bryons Annual Labor Day Bash, when we got a phone call from our neighbor saying a tree had fallen on our house. AS it turns out the tree did not fall on our house , but it did take out the line that bring the electricity to our house. Resulting in the loss of anything and everything that was plugged into the wall. All I can say is thank goodness for homeowners insurance!! That was one huge bill they had to pay.

This year all was going well until we tried to pull into the access road that leads to Bryons beach for the party. As Mike started to make the left hand turn a car came over the blind hill/curve and t-boned us. We are all ok, but the other car was TOTALED. Appearently a Honda Civic is no match for a Chevy Avalanche. The other driver was taken away by ambulance with a broken femur, thumb and possibly a rib or two. His two other passengers had some nasty mark from the seat belts, but otherwise were ok. Both vehicles had to be towed and Mike is meeting with the claim adjuster tomorrow.

If anything happens next year, I think we will stop celebrating Labor Day!

Here are some pics from the party (after all the excitement).

Ummm, yeah this was the other excitement. Cole and Nate thought it would be fun to through rocks at each other. This is the result of that.

OK so I am a little behind....

I can't help it. You can ask Mike, I am the queen of unfinished projects. You can just call me Professor Calamitis ( you have to watch Jimmy Nuetron to understand). There has been alot going on in last 3 months, since the last time I posted. So much, in fact, that I don't even know where to begin, so I will just post all of the pictures that I have. Hope you enjoy. BTW- this does not mean I will be posting on a regular basis.
