Dover

Mike and I went to the NASCAR race in Dover this weekend and it was great! Our seats were just about all the way to the top...actually there was only one row higher than ours. The rain held out until the race was over, thank goodness. We weren't even all the way down the stairs after the race and the sky just opened up and dumped a load of water on us. The only part of the trip that stunk was the traffic!! Next time we go we need to stay south of Dover or get a camper so that we don't have to deal with it at all. I am excited to go again!

Here was our view:

Bath Time

Normally, this would have made me mad, but ever since I have had only one child at home I am ALOT calmer. She just decided it was bath time and sat down and started "washing", all I could do was laugh and grab the camera.

Auction

As most of you know my newest hobby is going to the auction. I went last night and got a few things. I'm pretty sure I have never left there empty handed. It's just exciting because you never know what your going to find. Here are my buys from last night: (not shown is a filing cabinet). Nothing really exciting , just some odds and ends. I have gotten some really good bargains in the past.

Domesticated

My husband says I have been "domesticated" because I am so excited about having new appliances. I'm not sure if I should take offense to that or not...but who cares about that, I HAVE NEW APPLIANCES and they even match!!! I am sad to say that I could not in good conscience get the fridge with the TV in it....besides I am pretty sure the insurance company wouldn't have gone for it. But I am happy with what we bought. Our fridge is the mini version of yours Kari, it's that stainless steel look-a-like with the stove that matches. The fridge even has water and ice in the door, of course with the oh-so important child lock so that the kids don't cause a flood in my kitchen. I give them a week before they have it figured out anyway. We ended up getting the same washer we had before because it really wasn't that old, but now we have the dryer that goes with it. Yesterday we went out and got new tv's and a dvd player with surround sound. I am hoping that Mike wakes up sometime soon so we can go get a microwave and garage door openers....I miss parking in the garage, especially with all the rain we have been getting. That's it for now..I need to get in the shower and try to wake up the dead so we can go shopping.

Contrary to belief..we have made it back from California. It has been three months since my last post and I am trying to get back on the wagon. Here are a couple of random posts/pictures to get me started...enjoy!

This is Miss. Hazel , she is a 4 1/2 month old Lasa Apso and she is soooo darn cute. She was "Cole's" (and by Cole I mean my) other birthday present. She is just a big fluff ball!

Willow Tree

Here's the willow tree that fell in our front yard on Labor day weekend and kept us out of power and living with the in-laws for a week and a half. BTW, thank you soooo much in-laws!!!! The good news is that we get to buy all new appliances. Anything that was plugged into an outlet no longer works, so we have to buy all new stuff. Yeah.....hopefully the insurance company won't give us too much of a hassel. Ha Ha
