Cali Trip Day 4

Day 4 was good. I was a little disappointed with the San Diego Zoo though. It was almost too big and spread out. Plus it seemed like they had alot of the same animal everywhere. The kids really didn't seem too excited about being there. Cole was rushing past every animal. After a long day at the zoo we drove out to the pier. It was beautiful and the kids liked watching the surfers and the fishermen.


 

 

Cali Trip Day 3

Day 3 was pretty uneventful but relaxing. We found a nice park for the kids to play in. While watching the kids Nikki and I noticed how fit everyone looked. There were so many people jogging and bike riding. We started to feel a little self conscience,LOL. After the park we hung out at the beach for a little bit. I hadn't found a store that had children's beach toys in it yet. The area where we stayed wasn't really touristy like most beach areas on the east coast. I did eventually find a dollar store to get some supplies. I didn't want to spend alot on them because I hadn't planned on bringing them home with us. After the beach we went back to the hotel to find out my children were fish. Once they finally let go of us and realized they could swim on their own they didn't want to come out of the pool. And then once again we were all asleep by 8pm.

Cali Trip Day 2

This is the actual start of the trip. The flight was great..no problems at all. Cole was amazingly good, Ryleigh started to get a little fidgity toward the end but overall was really good. They loved it! The only one that was nervous was me. We arrived in sunny San Diego around 1pm, got our car and found our hotel. Mike left for work for a short time and we got unpacked and acclimated to our surroundings. Ryleigh wanted to know why the beds were in the living room. Too funny. When Mike got back we went to TGIF for dinner. There was a man walking around making ballon things for people. He was amazingly fast, seriously if you blinked you would miss how he made what ever it was that he was making. We all got something including Mike (he had had a couple of drinks). Then we went back to the room and went to sleep at 7pm.....10pm NY time..we are still adjusting to the time difference.

Yeah we are finally on the plane!!Always with the food!!LOL

Cali Trip Day 1

So the trip didn't start out so well. We arrived at the airport at 4pm on friday night, thinking that our flight was leaving at 6pm. They told us at 5:30 the plane was running 20 minutes late and we thought no big deal we have an hour lay over in philly so we should be fine. Not the case...at 7 they told us that they were boarding the plane but any one that had a connection to San Diego should reschedule because we weren't going to have enough time to make the connecting flight. Yeah right..try telling that to a 3 and 4 year old who have been hyped up all week and who have just waited three hours to get on a plane. We felt really bad, they didn't understand and poor Cole was crying. Thank goodness we got a flight for 7:30am the next morning.
